– Scripture:
Look Up To GOD
I look to you, heaven-dwelling God, and look up to you for help. Like servants, alert to their master’s commands, like a maiden attending her lady; We’re watching and waiting, holding our breath, awaiting your word of mercy. Mercy, God, mercy! We’ve been kicked around long enough, Kicked in the teeth by complacent rich men, kicked when we’re down by arrogant brutes.
Psalm 123:1–4 MSG
– Reflection:
When my eyes rise to the sky, I am always giving thanks to our creator and the work he is doing in me. There have always been times, at least for me, when I wondered if I was doing the correct things, and sometimes I wasn’t, I had to move through those times, and sometimes my eyes looked down. Not thinking about the wrong I had done but how I had disappointed GOD and his son Jesus. Today my head and eyes are not down or high but level starting the work he has prepared for us straight in the face. Trying to be true to the man I was made to be may be challenging, but it is always necessary.
Where do we go from here?
Raise your eyes and look to the Father for your path to be shown to you; once it has been shown, walk it, and pick up any of the tools he has laid on the path for you to use. There will be people placed on your path for good and for your betterment, but there will always be those that were not placed there by GOD but by the evil one just to slow you down and make that goal take much longer than GOD expected.
Our Prayer for Today
Father in heaven please hear our prayers, have mercy on us. Amen.
