– Scripture:
Giants on Your Land
Caleb interrupted, called for silence before Moses, and said, “Let’s go up and take the land—now. We can do it.”
Numbers 13:30 MSG
– Reflection:
God works from a “Can Do” space; nothing even close to negative is anywhere near GOD. In the scripture above, to give a peak of my understanding of what happened. God told Moses to send a group of guys to scout the land ahead that would soon be the “Promised Land.” When they got back, ten of them said there were giants and huge locked-down cities that were way too much for them to handle. Then there was Caleb and Joshua, who gave their report and said they thought they should just go and take the land; they knew they could and should. They had a “Can Do” attitude; they were not swayed by the size of the people there or the ability to overcome getting into the city. They believed that they could and eventually went and did it.
Where do we go from here?
Don’t let anyone talk you out of your dreams, I don’t care who they are. Those are dream stealers and cannot be trusted with your innermost thoughts. Think like Caleb and Joshua and have a positive attitude about that thing that GOD has shown you. It was for you to see anyway, not everyone else. When it begins to take shape, then others can help you finish it off, but the early work is yours alone. God is not limited to what by anything on or in this earth, so stop allowing people to kill what GOD has shown you to be yours. Get up and go get what is yours.
Our Prayer for Today
Father, thank you for the day we are currently blessed with; allow us to continue striving for what you have shown each of us. If there is a lane where we will cross paths and work together, don’t show that to us until we absolutely need to know it. It would cause us to soften and not do the work necessary for the vision to come to pass. All the work to this point is for your glory, to show that you can use us to be a light of inspiration. Amen.
