                        A Fight To The Finish

Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting, you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so no one falls behind or drops out.

                           Ephesians 6:13-18 MSG

 – Reflection:

When I think about help, I used to think of weakness; I now see it as a blessing that comes to you when you have been a blessing. So anytime help comes. Allow it, because the person giving the help wants the blessing from GOD to floe for them as well. It is not a weakness that someone comes and buys you a tank of gas or a lunch that you may have been planning to pay for yourself. Allow those little things to happen for you. I would tell myself that I could buy my lunch, I didn’t want you to do that, or I was going to buy something, a tool or something, and it was given to me. I would always think I had to repay it. The people I have in my life now have had to calm me down on that. So I am calling you guys to calm you down as well. So many have helped me become who I am; I am sure it has been the same for you. Remember those blessings and the time you spent together as a family or friends, and enjoy and fight together to the finish.

Where do we go from here?

Honor the fight we are all in as a community of Christ. Allow yourself to be pulled into the community whenever you can; it is indeed a blessing to see those who are in this walk with you. 

Our Prayer for today

Father, thank You for providing us with Your armor to withstand the evil days. Thank You that You only ask us to take our stand, trusting in You through it all. We believe You have us in the palms of Your hands, and You will get us through. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
