                A Fight To The Finish

Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting, you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so no one falls behind or drops out.

– Reflection:

God never promised us that we would not have problems. Jesus told His disciples that they would have trouble in this life. That goes for us as well. But God gives us His armor for protection: the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of peace, and the shield of faith. He gives us everything we need for victory. When difficult things come, things we don’t understand, God uses them to develop our character. We were created to confront our fears and live in His peace. If we stand in faith, letting Him fight our battles no matter how bad things get, we will come out better than before.

Where do we go from here?

Many of us have been facing battles this week battles of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Pray to see things from God’s perspective. Whatever we face, whatever comes against us, we have no reason to worry. The Most High God fights for us. We can put on His armor and live without fear. The enemy may come, but he has no power over us. He’s already been defeated.

Our Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for providing us with Your armor to withstand the evil days. Thank you for being so helpful. With your help, we can take our stand and not be overcome by fear. We believe that as we stay in peace, You will give us everything we need for victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
