                 Having a Forgiving Spirit

When in prayer, there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.

– Reflection:

How many times has someone angered you, stolen something from you, or even spoken badly about you in a fashion that wasn’t good for you or your family? This is the time when you need to be in a forgiving state, honoring GOD with every fiber of your being. There have been several times when this has happened to me personally throughout my young life, yet here I am, still helping and serving in GOD’s Kingdom. It is a requirement to be one of of his boys, his dudes. You have to do your part. Don’t allow yourself to be cut off from GOD; do your part.

Where do we go from here?

If following scripture and GOD’s words directly from the Bible are too hard, maybe you should just start with being a little better each day until you are able to honor the WORD of the Bible. Small things grow into big things; big things grow into huge things. GOD will not trust you with a lot if you can’t even manage yourself. How is he supposed to be able to give you the ability to help Shepard his flocks?

Our Prayer for Today

Father, thank you for the gift of forgiveness and the courage to give it away to those who have wronged us in many ways. Help us continue to honor your Word and your son who died for us on the Cross. Amen.
