– Scripture:
Be Patient & Expectant
Meanwhile, friends, wait patiently for the Master’s Arrival. You see farmers do this all the time, waiting for their valuable crops to mature, patiently letting the rain do its slow but sure work. Be patient like that. Stay steady and strong. The Master could arrive at any time.
James 5:7–8 MSG
– Reflection:
There are things we all have been waiting for in our lives; I mean, really, there are. Have you been expectant for them, though? Have you made way for others and yourselves while being patient for those things you know you need to survive your business’ downturn? Have you prayed and know without a show of a doubt that you believe as gardeners do that all they have done will grow whatever plant they planted in the ground with the correct maintenance and watering? We want things on our own time, but GOD has his own time, and we must wait for everything to align as he sees it before it will come to us.
Where do we go from here?
We can’t just sit around like wino’s in a park drinking themselves asleep over and over again. We have to prepare for the things we have asked GOD for. We need to be positive and on the lookout for the blessings we know are coming our way. Mocking the words in scripture by stating that nothing ever happens for people like us is too basic. Do something different and believe that all you have asked GOD for is on its way.
Our Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that everything You have for us will be released in our lives at the right time. Thank You that we can wait with great expectancy, knowing that You are working behind the scenes for the betterment of us. Help us to be patient and know that You are always on schedule. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
