– Scripture:

Hearing it all laid out like that, they quieted down. And then, as it sank in, they started praising God. “It’s really happened! God has broken through to the other nations, opened them up to Life!”

                     Acts 11:1-18 MSG

 – Reflection:

What has GOD told you

Reading this scripture to the end, I noticed how much it aligned with the path GOD placed before me. The path to help our youth, no matter the skill level, learn the game of basketball. I didn’t know who would benefit from the organization I opened, but I was told to do it, and I have. Just like when Peter was told to eat all types of animals in a vision, he said he would never eat anything that wasn’t kosher. He was shown his vision three times, and the vision left him. If GOD says it, then it is ok; that is the path to take no matter what other paths are before you.

The mornings and days that I pray for Christ to send the people for us and the organization to grow and build an environment that allows the growth of the families and the players to thrive. When those kids show up, even if for a season, I know they are there because of the prayers that have been prayed. What is for us is what has been given to us; no one can take that away.

Where do we go from here?

For those under the prayers of myself and others aligned here, we should honor one another and the blessings that are received. Each person has a responsibility to themselves not to allow negative forces to drive them and allow positive influences to help guide their days and nights.

Our Prayer for Today

Thank you, Father, for being the light we need to create the world you desire. It is up to us to follow the lessons laid out in your word. Following those words, we must allow others to come alongside us and help, even if only for a season. It is a great honor for us to call you Father. Amen
